Whale Beach

The Project

Whale Beach.

A coastal garden at Whale Beach that steps down sandstone terraces toward the headland. A steel bridge crosses the fall to a timber deck.

Planting is subtropical and salt-tolerant — tree ferns, palms, cycads and succulents — layered thickly enough that the garden reads as bush from the deck.
